Be the change you wish to see in the world ! I used this quote in my introduction because it ties all three of my people together they all have been or are going through it and see room for improvement in society. My three sources are “The Central Park Five” , “Jada Williams” and “Tq Wair” they all connect on a level to where they want to things and labels before it keeps spreading into society.
In the real world and Netflix Documentry the “Central Park Five” they show brotherhood , how independent they were , and also how curious they were. The text stated “But before the Netflix series and before the city finally settled their case for 41 Million dollars the former five they told their stories to the whole n in a special three part report called “case not closed “. And they have done this through Speaker tone and language . This is significant because they sat down and told their stories to show the world that what happened to them was unfair and should not happen again because their “Political Justice System ” failed them and they do not want anybody else’s too. Another piece of text evidence stated in the text was “The truth came out . Truth came out “. This was shown through Speaker because they want to show people how they used let things in the world go on so they see the problem and want to stop it from happening again .
Jada Williams expresses that girls can play basketball as good as a boy can ! The text stated that “She’s quick off the dribble , speed merchant with the ball , pesky defender”. The quote is stated through Speaker Qualities . This is significant because she wants to prove to everyone that you do not have to be a boy to be a basketball phenomonon everyone thinks only boys can be quick off the dribble and speedy with good defense the world will forever think boy are better than girls. Another piece of text evidence is “She has better handles than the boys”. That is spoken through tone This piece of text evidence is significant because she wants the stereotypes to stop in the world so she works hard to forever beat those opinions in the world to change those .
Tq Wair fought and is still fighting to beat the odds. According to http://www.fox9.com Tq Wair who has overcome burn injuries he suffered in a house fire when he was five severely burn in march 2005 to star on the football field. This is spoken through Speaker tone. This is relevant because Tq wants to show the world that obstacles can only stand in your way if you let them. According to primetimesportstalk.com Tq stated “My mother called my name and led me walking out the fire she said she knew i was going to be something special. This is spoken through speaker qualities . This is important because Tq would like the world to know that you can shine all you want you just have to believe and do not pay as much to the critics .
They are all very different situations but all come together as one because they want to show the world a change and that its okay to live in a world where people uplift and look out for each other . My three examples were “Central Park Five “, “Jada Williams”, and “Tq Wair” want to let us know their working for something real special in the world working real hard and wont stop until they get it . I feel as if you have a good couple examples of good role models who are not hesitating for a change in society to better it for everyone in it should we be doing the same ?.
